If you’re looking for rabbit recipes, you’ve come to the wrong blog. Peanut Humes is my two-year old bunny, seen here in her official capacity as Fine Furious Life Copy Editor. I don’t let her have much input into the recipes: it’s always vegan this, raw food that…
One more reason I’m so excited about the new apartment is that I won’t have to keep Peanut in a cage anymore. She’s litterbox-trained, like a cat, so it’s only her expensive predilection for snacking on carpet that keeps me from letting her hop about unsupervised. Thankfully, the new house has hardwood floors, so I can relax.

She’s so adorable. I’m guessing you don’t eat/cook rabbit much.AppetiteforChina added this comment on Jun 20 08 at 3:27 am
Clara: it’s good to know that someone out there has free-range bunnies, too. People always look at me like I’m nuts when I mention what I’m considering.Michele Humes added this comment on Jun 20 08 at 8:28 am
Diana: you guess correctly. A few times at school they put rabbit terrine and roasted rabbit loin on the buffet, and I really did consider trying it, but I just stared and stared at the little thighs on my plate and my body revolted. Couldn’t do it.

I didn’t even know you can potty train a rabbit.
Just had to say Peanut is very cute. My parents have always owned house rabbits that just run around the house. And as a result, I have only eaten rabbit twice in my entire life, even though I’m a devout carnivore…Helen Yuet Ling Pang added this comment on Jun 26 08 at 12:25 pm
