It was a professional kitchen so everything was in giant plastic tubs, and the granulated sugar and table salt really were indistinguishable. We're not talking a pinch here, we're talking like half a pound of salt in a custard sauce! This time there was no pretending that the dish could be saved.</description>

		<description>Oh no!  The exact same thing happened to my sister the other day when she was making an apple pie for Father's Day; she mistook the salt for sugar, but we convinced ourselves it would be alright if we just poured it out again and wiped the salt off the butter....

The pastry tasted like it had been doused repeatedly in the sea.  It's such a shame when the rest of the dessert is ruined by one (big) mistake!</description>
